POW/MIA Memorial Ride
12:00PM
A JSO escorted motorcycle ride from The Veterans Memorial Wall to the POW/MIA Memorial, Cecil Field
Tickets Free
The American Legion Riders which is a program of The American Legion, Department of Florida wants to organize a motorcycle event in conjunction with Gathering in the Pines, which will be held on 19 September 2020 in support of the National POW/MIA Remembrance Day. We envision this becoming an annual event dovetailed into future ceremonies held at the National POW/MIA Memorial being constructed at Cecil Field.

We are hoping to partner with the city as well as other veteran services and organizations to make this a destination from throughout Florida for not only The American Legion Riders but all motorcyclist especially veteran organizations.

Our anticipated route would be from The Veterans Memorial Wall across the Main Street Bridge, Acosta Bridge, Fuller Warren, Hart, Mathews, Dames Point and Buckman bridge with an ultimate destination of the POW/MIA Ceremony being held at Cecil Field.
